The ethnic hot stone bath or Menchu (meaning medicinal water in Lhokay / Bhutia), which was traditionally used for
soothing the nerves, bodyaches and joint-pains is also available on request. The herbs are collected by a villager
assigned to the Menchu and entails a search of over three hours in the nearby locale and the procedure takes a further
four-six hours for preparing the juice and heating the stones......the secret ingredients was picked up from his father who
in turn was tutored by our ancestors.
The Menchu is housed in a exclusive room with two wooden bath tubs. At least twelve
hours advance notice is required for guest wishing to experience the hot stone bath.
