At Biksthang we are a firm believer that in order to progress we need to regress - a bit…and what could be more in tune with this belief than going back to the basics of cooking,
with slow cooked fresh food over wood - fire.
Being a working farm and a family run heritage home stay, most of the seasonal fruits and vegetables including the rice and lentil are served fresh off the farm, as is the milk, cheese and other dairy produce from our in-house dairy. You may even like to try some of our home brewed millet beer or “Seychhang” - a hit with guests.
At Biksthang you may actually get to enjoy the best of both worlds, since while enjoying the facilities of a modern resort, you would also experience the warmth, comfort and hospitality of a traditional home stay -with no exception to some mouth-watering natural cuisine.
We have set menus ranging from some delectable, fresh home-cooked seasonal Traditional food to Continental, Chinese and Indian, rounded off with some freshly whipped pudding / a sweet dish after a sumptuous meal.
Our tariff is therefore all inclusive of meals charted out under two categories viz: The American Plan (AP) / Full Board and the Modified American Plan (MAP) / Half board.
Under the American Plan or the Full Board, the three meals are all inclusive – Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
In the Modified American Plan or the Half Board, Breakfast and Lunch OR Dinner is included in the tariff.
We do not have a Continental Plan but what we do have is an excellent kitchen staff who can cater to all your dietary needs, since there is no restaurant within walking distance from the farmhouse.
