LUPEY
Named after a type of edible wild apple found growing in Sikkim, Bhutan and Western China. The fruits can be eaten raw. These are also very good when stewed. Placed second from the Heritage wing, this Superior double unit cottage has an old wild apple tree fruiting just behind it and therefore the name. All interiors (including the flooring and the ceiling) are furnished with local wood from the tree plantation within the farm. The speciality about this cottage is the interconnecting door between the twin rooms and is recommended for a family of four with ideally two kids. Lupey has a lavish balcony with two reclining bed chairs on either side of the cottage. The rooms comprise a bedroom (twin bed), a traditional sitting area, a changing room and a bathroom. A water boiler is also provided so guests can relish some lemon / mint tea / coffee/ our delicious Sikkim organic tea while enjoying the view of Khangchendzogna, overlooking the pool area.
AMTEY
Named after the Asian Persimmon tree, it is a fruit-bearing tree that likely originated in China or Japan. Persimmons are characterized by their fiery orange colour. In fall, a persimmon tree’s foliage is a brilliant array of reds, oranges and yellows. Placed third from the Heritage wing, this superior double unit cottage has all wooden interiors (including the flooring and the ceiling) and furnishings with local wood from the tree plantation within the farm. The speciality about this cottage is its location; the cottage is probably placed the highest in the farm and therefore commands one of the best views of Khangchendzogna and the Himalayan range. Amtey comes with a lavish balcony and two reclining bed chairs on either side of the cottage. The rooms comprise a bedroom (twin beds), a traditional sitting area, a changing room and a bathroom. A water boiler is also provided so guests can relish some lemon / mint tea / coffee/ our delicious Sikkim organic tea while enjoying a birds eye view of the farmland.
PEKA
Named after Sal, which is a large sub deciduous tree. Sal tree is seldom completely leafless. It has large leathery leaves and yellowish flowers. Placed fifth from and the last visible cottage from the Heritage wing, this Superior Double Unit Cottage is furnished (including the flooring and the ceiling) with local wood from the tree plantation within the farm. The speciality about this cottage is the upcoming seemingly intriguing tree-house for kids (October 2015) in the woods adjoining the cottage. Peka comes with a lavish balcony and two reclining bed chairs on either side of the cottage. The rooms comprise a bedroom (twin bed), a traditional sitting area, a changing room and a bathroom. A water boiler is also provided so guests can relish some lemon / mint tea / coffee/ our delicious Sikkim organic tea while enjoying the view of the pool among the bamboo grooves and overlooking part(s) of the seasonal plantations within the farm.
