GHO: (The Birding Cottage)
This one of a kind double-unit suite named after Magnolia hodsonii (Talauma hodgsonii), a very handsome low-altitude
magnolia - is a tribute to the long-standing Magnolia Tree in the lawn between the Heritage Wing and the Deck.
Placed in between the woods, behind the hill facing the Heritage Wing, this cottage comes with a great view of the
Himalayas and an extensive deck overlooking the tea plantation within the farm. Gho comes highly recommended by our
birding guests and the room comes with a King Size double bed and an attached extra bed -ideal for a family of 3
(per room) for a comfortable getaway. Each room is provided with a water boiler and fresh milk from the in-house dairy
every morning, so guests can relish our delicious Sikkim organic tea / green tea or coffee, while enjoying the view of
Khangchendzogna and the Himalayas overlooking the tea plantation within the farm.
SALAG: (The Glass Cottage)
The cottage is named after a species of tree known as Terminalia Myriocarpa or "Panisas" in Nepalese.
The timber is of excellent quality and used for furniture, house building - doors and windows.
Salag stands exclusively between our tea and 'Panisas' plantations. The cottage is located behind the hill facing the
Heritage Wing and would take about a 7 -minute leisure walk over cobbled footpath.
The specialty about this cottage is the all glass front facade in order to do justice to the magnificent view of
Khangchendzogna and the Himalayan range. Salag has a lavish balcony with two reclining bed chairs on either side of
the cottage. The room(s) comprises a cozy bedroom, a traditional sitting area, a changing room and a bathroom. It comes
with a King Size double bed and is provided with a water boiler and fresh milk from the in-house dairy every morning, so
guests can relish our delicious Sikkim organic tea / green tea or coffee, while overlooking Pelling and the renowned
Pemongchi Monastery across the hill-visible on a clear day.
